Role Overview
As Business Developer, you’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and turning leads into long-term partnerships. You’ll collaborate closely with the technical and R&D teams to translate NIRI’s innovative solutions into market-ready opportunities.
Experience in Additive Manufacturing is a plus but not mandatory – what matters most is your ability to understand client needs and develop strategic commercial actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout and develop new business opportunities in the AM and industrial manufacturing sectors
- Manage the full sales pipeline: prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing deals
- Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships, acting as their go-to contact
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to align solutions with customer needs
- Monitor market trends and competitors to identify growth areas
- Support marketing and communication strategies with a business-driven approach
- Participate in trade fairs, events, and customer visits to enhance visibility and networking
Who You Are
We are looking for young professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit, attracted by challenges, self-starters and ambitious, skilled at identifying new market opportunities.
Technical education background – Engineering degree or Technical Diploma
Experience: 3–5 years in business development, sales, or commercial roles (preferably B2B, industrial or tech sectors)
Sales Approach: Strategic, methodical, organized and highly result-oriented; you have a proven ability to drive revenue growth
Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills – fluent in Italian and English
Tools: Confident with CRM platforms and MS Office
Nice to Have
- Experience or familiarity with Additive Manufacturing or metal production processes
- Knowledge of 3D/CAD software
- Established Network in the manufacturing, industrial, or AM sectors
- Background in start-ups or scale-ups with innovative visions
