Application & Field Engineer

We're looking for an Application & Field Engineer to join our Distribution Team! Are you passionate about technology and innovation? Do you enjoy working directly with customers and want hands-on experience with Augmented Reality systems applied to industry? This could be your next challenge!

What are we look for?

Key Responsabilities

  • Analyze and define applications; install, configure, and maintain advanced equipment and systems at customer sites.
  • Perform periodic maintenance and upgrades to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Quickly troubleshoot technical issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to identify and implement improvements.
  • Provide customer training on system usage and best practices.
  • Document activities, including installations, maintenance operations, and troubleshooting, to maintain accurate records.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technological innovations.

What We're Looking For

  • Junior to Mid-level professional experience (1-5 years).
  • Strong results orientation, customer satisfaction focus, and aptitude for technical-commercial activities (presentations, demonstrations, customer visits).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, independently or with limited guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites (mainly within Italy) as required.
  • Native-level proficiency in Italian.
  • Intermediate-level English proficiency.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial automation systems such as PLCs and HMIs.
  • Basic networking skills, including IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with electrical schematics, functional diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware and software systems in industrial environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in PLC programming.
  • Familiarity with industrial vision systems, sensors, and IoT devices for quality control and automation applications.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC-UA for machine-to-system integration.
  • Experience with SQL databases, including query writing, data management, and integration with industrial systems.
  • Knowledge of JSON and XML formats for system configuration and data exchange.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for automation, testing, and data analysis activities.
  • Familiarity with augmented reality systems or digital assistance tools supporting shop-floor operators.
  • Experience with workshop activities such as mechanical/electrical assembly and fitting.

  • Starting Salary: Gross Annual Salary (RAL) €21,386.56
